WAMPI

Who We Are

We are a community of women and girls from all walks of life

Everyone at Wampi is working towards breaking the menstrual barriers and addresses the issues of menstrual stigma and period poverty

WAMPI Menstrual Initiative was established in February 2020 with a mission to address the urgent needs of girls and women who lack access to essential menstrual products and information. Recognizing the profound impact that menstrual health has on education, health, and overall well-being, our initiative aims to provide sanitary pads to girls and women from low-income families across public schools.

Since our inception, we have been dedicated to ensuring that no girl or woman has to miss out on opportunities or face stigma due to the lack of period products. We believe that every girl deserves the chance to attend school and participate in everyday activities without the burden of inadequate menstrual care.

Our efforts are powered by the generosity of individuals and our partners, who share our vision of menstrual equity. Through their donations, we have successfully provided over 5,000 girls and young women with essential period products and comprehensive information packs. These packs not only include sanitary pads but also educational materials about menstrual health, hygiene practices, and managing menstruation with confidence and dignity. We are proud to share the tangible impact our work has had on the lives of girls and young women. By providing them with the necessary resources, we have helped reduce school absenteeism, improve academic performance, and foster a supportive environment where they can thrive. The stories of empowerment and transformation we hear from the beneficiaries of our program inspire us to continue our mission with even greater determination. WAMPI Menstrual Initiative is more than just a provider of sanitary pads; we are advocates for menstrual health education and champions of gender equality. We believe that by addressing menstrual health, we can contribute to a future where every girl and woman can reach her full potential without being held back by something as natural as menstruation. Our journey has only just begun, and we are committed to expanding our reach and impact. We envision a world where access to period products and information is a basic right for all, and we will continue to work tirelessly to make this vision a reality.

Join us in making a difference. Together, we can break down barriers, promote menstrual health education, and ensure that every girl and woman can live with dignity and confidence.
